Visited Crown College in Tenn. Today.
We as a church family went to Crown College today. The facilities are beautiful.
They have designed a memorial hall there on campus and the information that is on display is too much to take in, in the short amount of time that we had today. I thank God for what is taking place there on that campus.
We were able to take a tour of the campus and sit in on a lecture, (my first) I did not attend college, but being there made me envious of the opportunity that has been given to these young people.
We had lunch and then we were able to sit in on their choir practice. I think I had ten thousand goose bump chiefs running up and down my legs while that choir sang. They have a very talented and disapplined choir.
We were able to hear Randy Thomas preach and another young man that was a graduate. Their messages were very challenging and encouraged those of us as a whole to follow God's will for our lives.
Here is a joke that one of the preachers told today.
This man owned a drug store and he needed to run somewhere real quick, He was hesitant about leaving the new sales clerk alone but chose to ignore his doubt in this young man.
While he was gone another man came in with a terrible cough and the young clerk did everything he could to help this man with this awful cough.
The Store clerk came back and said "How did things go?" The young man said things went wonderful, about that time the store clerk noticed a man in the corner all bent over. He said Is he alright? The young clerk said "Well, of course, he came in with a terrible cough and I cured him. Oh really what did you give him? he said I gave him a SUPER laxative, the Owner said Laxative doesn't cure a cough! he said it sure does, he is scared to death to cough!
****Any of you that know my husband, knows that this will be in his archive of jokes for future reference.
We are praying now for direction for the rest of the little ones in the nest.
You know they are not staying little and I know they will be spreading their wings soon, I think they have begun to flap them with anticipation, so we want to be sure when they take that flight that it is in the right direction.
Crown College is worth the visit.

A Pleasant Experience
I have been working hard to find a new look for my blog, I have tried this template and that template and it has driven me crazy. I am so glad that when God the Father begins to change us he doesn't have to try this or that, he knows exactly what he is doing, he knows exactly who he is trying to make us look like, the perfect template per say Jesus Christ. One of the problems I was having in making the changes is that the colors I like so well, hurt even my eyes to sit and read, so I knew that the reading experience would not be pleasant to my visitors also.
Our heavenly Father knows that the things that we have in our life today that he is bidding us to change is hurting the cause of Christ and is not allowing people to have the full effect of who Jesus is and may not be a pleasant reading experience by others.
Our lives should be lived to bring honor to the Father. If there is something that he is bidding us to change in our lives, it is so much easier to yield to those changes rather than to fight them.
I was talking to my boys and we were talking about valleys and so many of our valleys are brought on in our lives by simply not yielding to that still small voice that is bidding us to change. He is always bidding us to follow his word, and when we choose not to obey then we not only hurt us but we hurt others around us in the process.
I have made these changes to allow my blog to be a more pleasant reading experience to you, now it is our turn to change those things that the Lord is dealing with us about to allow our lives to be a pleasant reading experience to others also.
This is somewhat of a quote by Sammy Allen that I just heard from an evangelist last week.
"A Man that Will scarcely make a vow to God will scarcely do anything for God."
Pss.37:5
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Do Tell!
Please leave me a comment to let me know if you like my new design on my blog or is it hard to read.
I like the colors but I am afraid it might be to much eye candy.
Thanks for your comments.

HUGE BLESSING!
I received a phone call tonight that turned out to be a HUGE blessing.
My son Zac called and said that the young people that were in our churches in Kansas have pulled their money together to pay our way to Goodland, KS. where all of them will be gathering for Thanksgiving.
All of these 8 young people are still in school. 2 in high school and 6 in college.
The biggest reason for them doing this was not only to see us, but that we would be able to spend time with our boys for Thanksgiving.
We had talked about wanting to go there, but there is no way for us to come up with the money. O ME OF LITTLE FAITH! Which in reality I do not have anyway, but MY GOD DOES!
I just felt it was not important enough for God to give that when we have other pressing issues right now.
We have $7.00 to our name and all of Novembers bills due except Rent.
I feel like this was a big hug from the Lord because once again I had fallen into fretting over our situtation. He showed me that if he will give me the deep down desire of my heart (willing to do without) things over and above than he will take care of the necessities.
It is truly a miracle that God would supply the money for us to go but the biggest blessing is that these young people and God love us enough to do this for us. I love these youngens so much.
My hubby is going to spend some time praying about whether God wants us to go or not.
I have prayed and asked God to supply, these young people have been praying for God to supply (two of the girls are going to give Plasma this week to raise money to give us, one of which is my future DIL.)
I think it is an answer to prayer, but I know it is wise to always pray about everything.
PLEASE PRAY For God's perfect will, I am willing to follow whatever the Lord leads.
But I sure hope he leads us to Goodland.......*sigh* and fingers crossed. ;0)

Good News!
We watch the mailbox every day hoping to get news about Mikes disability. We pray could today be the day Lord? Will you send it today Lord?
We have often raced to the mailbox.
I love to get mail and now my children love it too.
WELL, GUESS WHAT! TODAY WAS THE DAY!
Mike got a notice from the lawyer, his hearing has been set! We are in the third and final stage of his disability.
We were hoping to get everything done before the end of the year but his hearing is sceduled for Feb 17th 2010.
We are just glad to know when it is. The not knowing is hard. Now we have a time. We can actually count down!!!!!!
I thank God that he has carried us this far and will not leave us now. I am excited to see how he will supply our needs. That will take us into 17 months I just thank God that most cases take atleast 2-5 years to even get where we are at.
God is so good to us. I just praise him for the good news today!
