Going into our 8th month.

April will mark the eighth month since my husband has resigned from his position of associate pastor. That was a very difficult decision to follow our Lord in but it has been a very blessed decision. We have not drawn any kind of income since September but yet the Lord has met our every need. I just need to go on record to say once again the Lord has paid our rent for this next month. Can I explain it? Can I tell you where everything has come from? I just want to give all the Glory to the Lord.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down FROM THE FATHER of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Rebates have come in the mail from August 08, money just seems to stick around a lot longer and it seems to go further. I heard recently that the electric company has overcharged its
customers this winter and that every customer will be receiving a $500.00 check for over payment. That sounds like the Lord to me, he gave me a savings account over this winter and just when I need it the most, he is going to send it back to me. That has to be God, how many times do you hear an electric company admitting they have overcharged?
The Lord seems to be stretching our money out. I stand amazed at what the Lord has done for us over these past 8 months, it truly is a miracle. Not one ounce of income as far as a weekly pay for me or my husband but yet the Lord has met our every need. I say all of this just too once again say that God cannot lie, His word is true and he will take care of his children if you will just die to self and trust him. At times through the last eight months we have sit and tried to figure ways to make money, ways to figure things out ourselves, but each time the Lord just backed us into a corner and said let go and trust me and each time he has come through.

Please continue to pray as Mike has more testing going coming up and as we continue pursue the direction that God has set before us.
You know when you are living for the Lord, you may not always understand the trial you are going through, but I do know that you can trust the one who is leading you through that trial. It is a good thing to trust the Lord with your life. In the day and age we live in today, with all the unstableness in our economy people need to see us as Christians trusting Him and leaning on his promises. It is easy to say you trust the Lord in the good times, but when it gets tight and hard it then becomes easy preaching, hard living.
There are people out there ringing their hands not knowing what tomorrow holds for their lives trying to figure out what they are going to do to make it through these hard times and they have no hope, no peace, and no comfort. If I can be a light of hope in this old dark world, I want to shine as bright as I can for him. We as Christians have a perfect opportunity to be a huge witness for our Savior, as we enter into these hard times, stand strong and show forth your peace and your contentment and rest in the arms of the Lord so that others can see there is a resting place they can come to also. Without Faith it is impossible to please our Savior.

Hebrews 11:6 But WITHOUT FAITH [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We must have faith in him and his promises. REMEMBER, HE CANNOT LIE!!!

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that CANNOT LIE, promised before the world began;
Let go of the control you have on your life and just trust the leading hand of the Lord in your life. It is the best life to live.

God Bless and thanks for stopping by.

My poll

I have had my poll listed for over a month, everyone that has taken my poll has so far been a Christian, but today someone posted that they were searching. Oh Christians please pray that my page will have planted the seed that will grow and help this person come to know the Lord.
To that person that is searching, Please know I am praying that God will truly open your eyes to the Truths of His word. Ye must be born again.

I am honored and excited you have visited my blog,
Rebecca

Do you know Jesus?

I desire to tell the whole world about the Lord Jesus Christ. I was so lost and empty before He came into my life. I have recently joined Twitter and I have been able to direct many people to come visit my site. If just one person comes to know the Lord as their Saviour, It will be worth it all.
Do you know for sure where you will spend eternity?
Do you have something missing in your life?
Do you feel like you go from one thing to another trying to fill the emptiness in your life?
Do you feel that the things you are chasing in this world *riches* will bring you happiness?
Do you realize you are a sinner?
Do you have an interest in what truth really is?
Do you desire to be truly happy and no matter what you try to do to be happy, you always come up short?

God has allowed you to feel this emptiness, so that you would realize that you need something to fill that void. It is within a man to worship a higher power, why do you think that in the deepest jungles they have their rituals? They serve the moon gods, the sun gods, and whatever other gods that they might come up with.
Romans 1:23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

God put it within a man to know that there is some higher power
Romans 1:19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
We are all without excuse, because God has put all things into place to reveal himself. We just refuse to believe.

May 7th 1992 For the first time in my life, I realized according to the scriptures that I was eternally lost without Christ and that I needed a Saviour.
Romans 10:3
FOR THEY BEING ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

I was constantly trying to fulfil my own righteouness, trying to gain God's favour. I had to come to repentance and realize it was nothing I could do to gain his favour. He sent his son to die for me, because I was a sinner.
Romans 3:23
FOR ALL HAVE sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Exodus 20:4
THOU SHALT NOT make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Exodus 20:5
THOU SHALT NOT bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
Exodus 20:7
THOU SHALT NOT take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Exodus 20:10
But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] THOU SHALT NOT do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
Exodus 20:13
THOU SHALT NOT kill.
Exodus 20:14
THOU SHALT NOT commit adultery.
Exodus 20:15
THOU SHALT NOT steal.
Exodus 20:16
THOU SHALT NOT bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodus 20:17
THOU SHALT NOT covet thy neighbour's house, THOU SHALT NOT covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen ANYTHING? Have you ever coveted your neighbors things? ALL of the above are God's laws, and their are over 600 more.
Have you ever Killed? Or do you hate anyone?
The Bible says
1 John 3:15
Whosoever HATEth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

We do not want to believe we are sinners, We have been taught that we are good people, we have been taught that if you are a good person, It will all work out in the end if your good works out weigh your bad

NOT TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are over 600 laws written in the Old Testiment, but if we try to be good enough to obey every law and yet break one law, we stand guilty before God of them all.
James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is GUILTY of all.

The biggest argument I hear today is that the Bible is not real, just a book of fairy tales. If that is what I tell myself, than I don't feel the need to do anything that about it.

If the truth is that I have cancer, but I choose to tell myself that it is not real, I have killed myself.

Why don't we stop and examine our belief system? Have we taken someone else's belief system on? Have we really examined for ourselves? Have you really spent time reading the Bible *King James Bible* What if everything you have been taught is a lie, what if you really do have a cancer that in the end will be your destruction? A cancer of unbelief.

I have heard others say that religion is a crutch, YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I realized that within my own abilities, I was coming up short. I needed a Saviour. I could not keep the laws, I could not save myself. If I am in need of a crutch in order to walk, wouldnt it just make sense to admit I needed that crutch? There are a lot of crippled people walking around today needing that crutch, but refusing through Pride to admit their need.
Psalms 10:4
The wicked, through the PRIDE of his countenance, will not seek [after God]: God [is] not in all his thoughts.
1 John 2:16
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the PRIDE of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Proverbs 21:4
An high look, and a PROUD heart, [and] the plowing of the wicked, [is] sin.
James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the PROUD, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Please humble yourself and admit your need for a Saviour.
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10
For the Son of man is come to seek and to SAVE THAT WHICH was lost.

BEFORE YOU CAN EVER BE SAVED, YOU MUST SEE THAT YOU ARE LOST.
When you realize that you are lost, that is when the Lord can save you.

Believe the Gospel, Jesus was born of a virgin, came and lived on this earth for 33 1/2 years, was crucified, was buried and rose again the third day and is in heaven seated at the right hand of the Father.

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you believe the Gospel and will repent of your sins, call upon Jesus Christ. He will save you and give you an eternal home in Heaven.

Please feel free to leave your comments.
If you have prayed and asked the Lord to save you Please leave me a message and we will rejoice together.
God Bless.

Oh Glory Day!!!!!!!!! Resting in the Arms of the Lord.

Once again my Lord has kept true to his Word!
Let me give you a little history on our latest trial. As most of you know my two oldest boys are at Heartland Bible College in Oklahoma City, both of my boys have received a full ride scholarship for next semester except of course their books.
Corey will be traveling with Glory bound as their sound man and Zac will be traveling with the Vacation Bible School team this summer.
This semester Corey received a full ride also, but Zac had to pay his full tuition.
Zac had a payment due on his tuition today March 13, 09, He had to have $1015.00 or he was coming home. On Monday of this week, he was able to talk to the head of finance and he said that he must have $315.00 by today and then the remaining $700.00 would be due on Monday but he had 30 days to come up with that balance. BIG RELIEF!!!! But when you have nothing and no check coming in this week, where would it come from? Oh Zac was such an encouragement to me. He would say Mom, I am not worried about it, God cannot lie, as I am trying to figure out in my weak faith, How am I going to get out there to pick him up when he has to come home....
(I know, I know, I am the only one that sinks when I see a storm coming : 0 ) )

Earlier this week a man from our church gave me some money to send to Zac to help him out with his bill, this man barely knows my son and out of the kindness of his heart chose to help another brother in need. (I love the Lord's children.)
Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the POOR lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Zac has been cutting hair on campus to make money and a couple of weeks ago one of the students gave Zac $30.00 and because Zac doesn't have a car he has not been able to cash that check. So yesterday Zac took all that he had and made a payment on his school bill. This still left a huge balance due today. Any balance is huge when you have nothing.....Right?
We all have been there.

This is the good part, I received a phone call last night that someone called and paid the remaining balance that was due today. I am not sure if Zac knows it is paid yet, but I cannot wait to get the phone call letting me know that God paid it off, just like he said he would. Remember? God cannot lie.

The office is keeping it annonoumous, but I know who did it and I am so thankful for my parents and the love and sacrifices they make for me and my children. I know it was a huge sacrifice for them to pay that for him. But ultimately we know that all good gifts come from above he just uses good people here on this earth to fulfill his will.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is FROM ABOVE, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

I am chomping at the bit to here from Zac today, I am excited to get that phone call with the joy and excitement he will have knowing that God did exactly what he said he would do.
You know some people do not understand our circumstances, they feel we should do something to fix the situation we are in, but when God puts you in a trial that you can do absolutely nothing about and he comes through, it increases your faith in him.

Hebrews 11:6 But WITHOUT FAITH it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

God loves to do the impossible. I have rung my hands through so many trials and I have wasted so much of my energy trying to figure out how God is going to take care of me and my family, that this morning I have a complete silence *rest* in my soul that God will come through for us also. I have a greater understanding and new found appreciation for these next few verses.

Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a REST to the people of God.
Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into his REST, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that REST, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

It is a labour to bring your flesh into the subjection of trust but it is a blessed place to enter into God's rest.

Resting in the arms of the Lord,
Rebecca

I must share my heart and I would love your thoughts

Over the last couple of months three out of five of my children have come to the realization that they have not really been saved. I have been following a friend’s blog http://cozaddalechronicles.blogspot.com/ and have been doing a lot of pondering about why children go wrong when they are of the age that they make their own choices. With these recent events in the lives of my children, it has raised more questions in my mind to what we are doing wrong as parents raising children in our Christian homes.

My son that is attending Bible college called me on Monday and I was able to help him come to the realization that he has been going about to establish his own righteousness. Romans 10:3
He has been taught to be a good boy, As we raise our children and we train our children we teach them how to become good little boys and good little girls to the spot that they begin to trust in all of their righteousness to merit them something in the eyes of God. I have seen my children struggle with doubt over the years; maybe it comes from my fear of them really not being saved, since I was 25 before I truly had it settled in my own life. I am not a parent that reassures their children they are ok because they made a profession at age 4.
I heard my present pastor preach many years ago and he said something I never forgot, "You cannot muddy up deep waters." I am so thankful that I have questioned my children over the years. I am so glad when I saw struggles in their lives I went straight for the salvation issue. I often tried to muddy up their waters, so that they were sure their waters were deep.
I have seen a true change in the lives of my children once they truly have it settled in their lives.
I believe there will be genuine fruit in the life of a child that is truly born again. I mean inward fruit, not just the conforming fruit that we as Christian parents are so good at teaching our children to have.
Maybe I have been wrong in casting doubt in their lives, but I would rather cast doubt and have them sure than to give them a false sense of assurance and they die without Christ thinking they are ok.
I know in my own experience the very thing that kept me lost for so long is that I really didn't think I was that bad of a person and that is exactly what my son said to me on Monday.
Until we see ourselves as Christ sees us.
Romans 3:23 For all have SINNED, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have SINNED:

Satan whispers in our ear, you haven’t committed murder, or you haven't done anything terrible, you’re a good little boy or a good little girl. Then when they get to the age they are able to make their own choices, their true nature rears its ugly head. We as parents need to deal with their true nature, that inward man before they get to that age that they are able to make their own choices.
I am so thankful that it is not anything we can do to merit us anything in the eyes of God, but it is everything he has done for us. Even the very thought that If I just trust that I have done what God's word says.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever SHALL CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I cannot count how many times I have heard people say, I have done what God's word says and that is enough, is it? Are you trusting in what you have done? Established your own righteousness? It is about trusting God's word, but it is also coming to the end of yourself and not trusting in one thing you can do but fall into the hands of a merciful loving God.

It is nothing you deserve and you cannot pray enough, you cannot read your bible enough, you cannot go to church enough, you cannot dress right enough, you must believe with your heart that there is a true need for the repentance of the sin that seperates you from a Holy God.

I would love to have you post your salvation testimony.

The poll that I have taken shows that I am reaching all Born Again Christians, So if you are born again than you must have a testimony. I would also ask that you would give me some of your experience in raising your children and how you have dwelt with their salvation.

I would love some interaction on my blog. If anything just let me know you have been here. Thank you to those who have posted.
Love in Christ,

Rebecca

A time of reflection on God's Promises.

As I sat down to pray this morning, my mind went back to a blog that I read yesterday by a young man, he provoked me to pray a prayer that only thanks the Lord and asks for nothing. Each morning as I pray, I take the time to write a letter to the Lord as it helps me to stay focused on what I am praying about, after I am done writing my letter, I usually rip it into tiny shreds so that others do not see my inner most thoughts and my battles in the flesh, as I do get totally honest with the Lord in my letters. This morning I wanted to do something different and share my time of prayer with each of you. I pray that this prayer will point you to the promises that God has given us and that maybe if we spent more time reflecting on his promises we would have less defeat in this world we live in today. We as Christians have something that money cannot buy; we have God's words to lean on when times are tough all around us.

Good morning Lord Jesus My Savior, God my father and Holy Spirit my comforter,

I want to take this time today to thank you for all the promises you have given me and to thank you for being so good to me. I am so thankful that you promise that you will never leave me nor forsake me. I am thankful that you loved me, even while I was yet a sinner, you died for me.

I am thankful for your Word. Christ, you were the Word and you came and dwelt among us, and your own received you not, thus the door to the Gentiles opened and allowed salvation to me and today I sit in heavenly places. I am thankful for the Word that rightly divides my thoughts and the intents of my heart. It allows me to look into it and to allow me to behold my natural face and decide if I am gong to become a doer of your Word or just a hearer only. I am thankful that thy Word is truth and that you cannot lie to me. I desire to hide thy word in my heart that I might not sin against thee. I am thankful that God is my refuge and strength a very present help in time of trouble. I am thankful that you cannot change; you are the same yesterday, today and forever.

I am thankful that you have given the comfort of the Holy Spirit. I am thankful for the peace that passeth all understanding and it keeps my mind through Christ Jesus. I am thankful that when I am weak, you are strong, I am thankful for your grace and that it is sufficient for whatever trial I am going through. I am so thankful for my eternal salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. I am thankful that I am sealed unto the day of redemption and that I do not have to keep myself that you completed salvation on the cross of Calvary. I am so thankful that when I was blind and without Christ, you drew me to you. Day and night you drew me with the Spirit of God. You never gave up on me. I am thankful you opened my blinded eyes.

I am thankful that I do not have to trust in the riches of this world as I know they will all pass away, but that my riches are laid up in heaven where moth and rust cannot corrupt. I am thankful for the comfort to know that I do not have to worry about my needs, as the cattle on a thousand hills are yours and you said you would supply all my need. I am thankful that your word says that I can call unto you and that you will answer me and show me great and mighty things. I am thankful you said to ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto me. I am thankful that you do want me to ask you for things, but that you also want me to be thankful for all things. I am thankful that you tell me in your word to rejoice and again I say rejoice. I am thankful for the joy of my salvation.

I am so thankful for my family and the desire you have put in their heart to serve you, I am thankful that you opened my eyes to the promise that except you build my house, my labor is in vain, I am thankful you taught me to trust in you putting in their hearts instead of my own abilities. I am so thankful that I know that I cannot walk this walk unless you give me the ability to do so. I am thankful that you give me a job that I cannot do, then you do it for me, then you reward me as if I did it myself.

I thank you Lord that you said that if I confess my sin that you are faithful and just to forgive me. I am thankful that you said For whosoever called upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I am so thankful you saved me May 7, 1992, when I took a hold of that promise and believed it with my heart and not my head.

I thank you Lord for the call, many are called but few are chosen, I am thankful that you didn’t choose the mighty, nor the noble, but that you chose the foolish things of this world to confound the wise and that you have chosen the weak things of this world. All I have ever wanted to do is to be used by you and I thank you for using such a servant as I. Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name.

I am so thankful that I do not have to live in this world that we live in today all by myself, that I have your promises that I can trust with all my heart and lean not unto my own understanding.
Thank you Lord.

Amen
