Are our Walls Broken Down?

I have been reading in Nehemiah and as I have been reading I realized that the broken heart I once had for the ruins in my own life or that I see around me has disappeared. Nehemiah was broken and in anguish for the ruins that Jerusalem had become. He desired to be that man that God would use to rebuild that city. Now Nehemiah was not a preacher, or a man of importance, he was the cupbearer to the King but God still chose to use him because of his willingness to be used. I think many times we think it is the job of the preachers or the leaders to do great things but what about us? God can use any of us we just have to be willing to be used.

The first thing that Nehemiah did was he rebuilt the walls, we too have to rebuild the walls to keep the enemy out of our lives. We have to many breaches in our lives where satan can freely attack us. We must rebuild the walls of our lives and take back our lives from satan having free reign. He attacks and we just sit down and we do not fight back. We must take back our lives and allow God to have control. We fill our minds with the worlds thoughts until we have no more power to defeat and we become defeated.

The second thing they did was they returned to reading the law (WORD OF GOD)(King James Version) They wept when the word of God was read. We need to return to the Word of God in our lives. Some have turned to watered down versions of the Word of God, other translations that have no power and no ability to really change who we are. We have simple biblical truths without the power behind it to give us true victory or life changing power. These people wept as it was being read, when was the last time we just sat and wept as we read God's words? How much do we really appreciate that we have God's word in our homes and the freedom to read it and live it.
Be careful we may not have this much longer, we need to hide as much of his word in our hearts as we can while we still have this freedom to do so.

The third thing they did was they fasted and repented. When was the last time we took a day and fasted and really asked God to search our hearts so that we could be clean before Him?

Psalms 139: 23 and 24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

This is a very hard thing to do because we as a people do not like to think there is anything wrong with us. We want to believe the best about ourselves.
But I assure you if you will do this, God will show you things in your life that need to be changed and when you make a conscious effort to change those things, more peace and more joy comes to your life.

I know when I was 25 years old my life was in shambles and I had no peace in my life, I was trying to be a good church member and I was trying very hard to live good, but still had no peace in my heart. God was drawing me to him and I did not understand true salvation. I began to search the scriptures for the truth and I began to pray that God would search my heart and show me if there was anything that was not pleasing him. I would read scriptures like.....

Psalms 9:17
THE WICKED SHALL BE TURNED INTO HELL, [and] all the nations that forget God.
Psalms 14:3
They are all gone aside, they are [all] together become filthy: [there is] none that DOETH GOOD, no, not one.
Ecclesiastes 7:20
For [there is] not a just man upon earth, that DOETH GOOD, and sinneth not.

As I would read these scriptures, I would deny their truth....because I was trying to do good, and I was not wicked....
But on May 7th 1992, I was tired of not having peace and once again asked someone if they ever doubted whether they were truly a child of God and this lady showed me a verse that forever changed my life.

Romans 10:3 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

I wanted to know God, I was trying to know God but I had never submitted myself to his truths, I had to take sides against my thoughts and believe his WORDS.
I was wicked, none of my goodness was going to get me to heaven and I had to submit myself to his truth. I repented of my thoughts and believed his words and
for the first time in my life I had perfect peace.

As time goes by we can tend to walk away from his truths and take on our own thoughts and not his truth in our lives thus comes confusion, and emptiness in our daily walk.
Let's be like Nehemiah and start rebuilding those walls and get back to serving our Lord.
I hope your walls are not broken down but If they are I encourage you to get alone with God and his word and begin to search the scriptures daily and allow God to change your life.

Keep searching until you have peace of knowing that you have an eternal home in heaven, the scriptures tell us in 1 John 5:13 that we can know we have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Have you ever Doubted whether you will go to Heaven when you die?

If any of you have read my testimony, you know that I was raised in a Christian home and I struggled with whether I was really saved or not until the age of 25. I really believe that this is a huge struggle in many peoples lives. My husband and I both went through that and even our own children have made several professions but hopefully have it settled now.
Today I listened to a message that makes salvation so clear, I really appreciate the time Bro Travis Burke took in making the plan of Salvation so clear and understandable. It is a terrible thing to doubt and to worry about your eternal soul but there is nothing more satisfying than to be at total peace with the Lord knowing that your eternal home is in Heaven.
It seems so appropriate to always use my favorite verse in Titus 1:2 ....God cannot lie.
If he says it, he means it and he cannot waver from his truth. We just have to trust it and believe it. We just have to place ourselves in his hands and trust his ability to keep us and seal us and take us all the way to heaven.

I am so thankful that on May 7th 1992 I did just that and I have not doubted since. It is as sure as I am sitting here in this chair and typing on my laptop that I know that I know that I know I am saved and sealed until the day of redemption.
Praise the Lord that when he does save you, there is no doubt that he has done so. If you doubt than this would be a good time to examine and take a few minutes and listen to Bro. Travis preach this awesome message explaining the simple plan of Salvation.

Do you know Jesus?

I desire to tell the whole world about the Lord Jesus Christ. I was so lost and empty before He came into my life. I have recently joined Twitter and I have been able to direct many people to come visit my site. If just one person comes to know the Lord as their Saviour, It will be worth it all.
Do you know for sure where you will spend eternity?
Do you have something missing in your life?
Do you feel like you go from one thing to another trying to fill the emptiness in your life?
Do you feel that the things you are chasing in this world *riches* will bring you happiness?
Do you realize you are a sinner?
Do you have an interest in what truth really is?
Do you desire to be truly happy and no matter what you try to do to be happy, you always come up short?

God has allowed you to feel this emptiness, so that you would realize that you need something to fill that void. It is within a man to worship a higher power, why do you think that in the deepest jungles they have their rituals? They serve the moon gods, the sun gods, and whatever other gods that they might come up with.
Romans 1:23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

God put it within a man to know that there is some higher power
Romans 1:19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
We are all without excuse, because God has put all things into place to reveal himself. We just refuse to believe.

May 7th 1992 For the first time in my life, I realized according to the scriptures that I was eternally lost without Christ and that I needed a Saviour.
Romans 10:3
FOR THEY BEING ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

I was constantly trying to fulfil my own righteouness, trying to gain God's favour. I had to come to repentance and realize it was nothing I could do to gain his favour. He sent his son to die for me, because I was a sinner.
Romans 3:23
FOR ALL HAVE sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Exodus 20:4
THOU SHALT NOT make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Exodus 20:5
THOU SHALT NOT bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen ANYTHING? Have you ever coveted your neighbors things? ALL of the above are God's laws, and their are over 600 more.
Have you ever Killed? Or do you hate anyone?
The Bible says
1 John 3:15
Whosoever HATEth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

We do not want to believe we are sinners, We have been taught that we are good people, we have been taught that if you are a good person, It will all work out in the end if your good works out weigh your bad

NOT TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are over 600 laws written in the Old Testiment, but if we try to be good enough to obey every law and yet break one law, we stand guilty before God of them all.
James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is GUILTY of all.


The biggest argument I hear today is that the Bible is not real, just a book of fairy tales. If that is what I tell myself, than I don't feel the need to do anything that about it.

If the truth is that I have cancer, but I choose to tell myself that it is not real, I have killed myself.

Why don't we stop and examine our belief system? Have we taken someone else's belief system on? Have we really examined for ourselves? Have you really spent time reading the Bible *King James Bible* What if everything you have been taught is a lie, what if you really do have a cancer that in the end will be your destruction? A cancer of unbelief.

I have heard others say that religion is a crutch, YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I realized that within my own abilities, I was coming up short. I needed a Saviour. I could not keep the laws, I could not save myself. If I am in need of a crutch in order to walk, wouldnt it just make sense to admit I needed that crutch? There are a lot of crippled people walking around today needing that crutch, but refusing through Pride to admit their need.
Psalms 10:4
The wicked, through the PRIDE of his countenance, will not seek [after God]: God [is] not in all his thoughts.
1 John 2:16
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the PRIDE of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Proverbs 21:4
An high look, and a PROUD heart, [and] the plowing of the wicked, [is] sin.
James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the PROUD, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Please humble yourself and admit your need for a Saviour.
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10
For the Son of man is come to seek and to SAVE THAT WHICH was lost.

BEFORE YOU CAN EVER BE SAVED, YOU MUST SEE THAT YOU ARE LOST.
When you realize that you are lost, that is when the Lord can save you.

Believe the Gospel, Jesus was born of a virgin, came and lived on this earth for 33 1/2 years, was crucified, was buried and rose again the third day and is in heaven seated at the right hand of the Father.

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you believe the Gospel and will repent of your sins, call upon Jesus Christ. He will save you and give you an eternal home in Heaven.

I must share my heart and I would love your thoughts

Over the last couple of months three out of five of my children have come to the realization that they have not really been saved. I have been following a friend’s blog http://cozaddalechronicles.blogspot.com/ and have been doing a lot of pondering about why children go wrong when they are of the age that they make their own choices. With these recent events in the lives of my children, it has raised more questions in my mind to what we are doing wrong as parents raising children in our Christian homes.

My son that is attending Bible college called me on Monday and I was able to help him come to the realization that he has been going about to establish his own righteousness. Romans 10:3
He has been taught to be a good boy, As we raise our children and we train our children we teach them how to become good little boys and good little girls to the spot that they begin to trust in all of their righteousness to merit them something in the eyes of God. I have seen my children struggle with doubt over the years; maybe it comes from my fear of them really not being saved, since I was 25 before I truly had it settled in my own life. I am not a parent that reassures their children they are ok because they made a profession at age 4.
I heard my present pastor preach many years ago and he said something I never forgot, "You cannot muddy up deep waters." I am so thankful that I have questioned my children over the years. I am so glad when I saw struggles in their lives I went straight for the salvation issue. I often tried to muddy up their waters, so that they were sure their waters were deep.
I have seen a true change in the lives of my children once they truly have it settled in their lives.
I believe there will be genuine fruit in the life of a child that is truly born again. I mean inward fruit, not just the conforming fruit that we as Christian parents are so good at teaching our children to have.
Maybe I have been wrong in casting doubt in their lives, but I would rather cast doubt and have them sure than to give them a false sense of assurance and they die without Christ thinking they are ok.
I know in my own experience the very thing that kept me lost for so long is that I really didn't think I was that bad of a person and that is exactly what my son said to me on Monday.
Until we see ourselves as Christ sees us.
Romans 3:23 For all have SINNED, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have SINNED:

Satan whispers in our ear, you haven’t committed murder, or you haven't done anything terrible, you’re a good little boy or a good little girl. Then when they get to the age they are able to make their own choices, their true nature rears its ugly head. We as parents need to deal with their true nature, that inward man before they get to that age that they are able to make their own choices.
I am so thankful that it is not anything we can do to merit us anything in the eyes of God, but it is everything he has done for us. Even the very thought that If I just trust that I have done what God's word says.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever SHALL CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I cannot count how many times I have heard people say, I have done what God's word says and that is enough, is it? Are you trusting in what you have done? Established your own righteousness? It is about trusting God's word, but it is also coming to the end of yourself and not trusting in one thing you can do but fall into the hands of a merciful loving God.

It is nothing you deserve and you cannot pray enough, you cannot read your bible enough, you cannot go to church enough, you cannot dress right enough, you must believe with your heart that there is a true need for the repentance of the sin that seperates you from a Holy God.

The poll that I have taken shows that I am reaching all Born Again Christians, So if you are born again than you must have a testimony. I would also ask that you would give me some of your experience in raising your children and how you have dwelt with their salvation.

Are you 100% sure you are going to heaven?

This is for anyone who is not 100% sure that if they were to die they will go to Heaven
WOULD YOU REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN?
A few years ago railroads and airlines printed what were called "time tables." They all laid claim to the better route to your destination. They went so far as to print their line in big boxcar type, while their competitor´s line was put in the smallest type.
The different denominations and churches all have their peculiar route to heaven. The various sects and isms claim to have a monopoly on the only way to a blessed eternity. Which way shall we go? Certainly all of us want to go to heaven. Most assuredly we want to take the proper route. Which is it?
Instead of listening to this babel of voices all about us, why not listen to God? Here is what He says in the Bible. This is the inside story on God´s way to heaven. It is the gospel according to the Author:
God tells the truth about mankind:
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10)
"For there is not a just man upon earth, that does good, and does not sin." (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
"…For there is no man that sins not…." (1 Kings 8:46)
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him [Jesus] the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:6)
God says that He must punish sin:
"Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sins, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
God tells the inside story about His remedy for sin:
"Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. " (Romans 5:8)
"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed." (l Peter 2:24)
"He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; " (Titus 3:5)
"For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8, 9)
God wants to save you and will save you if you will follow His instructions:
"And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. " (John 3:36)
"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your household." (Acts 16:31)
"To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins." (Acts 10:43)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. " (John 3:16-17)
"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His name." (John 20:30, 31)
God definitely declares that there is only one way to be saved:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6)
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
"Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
(John 11:25, 26)
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
(l Timothy 2:5)
Christ extends to you a personal invitation: Won't you please lift up your voice and heart to Him today? Asking in simple faith for forgiveness and trust in the work HE did? Dying for you? Repent (be sorry for and turn AWAY from your sin) and ask Him into your life TODAY, for we know not what tomorow will bring!
"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me; and he that comes to Me I will in no wise cast out.
Now it is up to YOU.

Our Risen Saviour!!!!!!!!!!!
This weekend so many people are thinking about Easter. New clothes, New shoes, Easter Baskets. To me, It is so expensive and we really have never done anything for our children when it comes to Easter baskets and such.....but My parents are a different story...My mom and dad love to make big things out of Holidays, I am thankful they have always done that for my children, they will have fond memories of their childhoods of the things that Grandma and Grandpa have made special for them. One Easter i remember really well, All of my children were really small, Jordan was about two, My parents always came and put plastic eggs on the front lawn the night before Easter. We got up and opened the front blinds and put Jordan at the front window and she looked out and her eyes got huge.....She said BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!
That is such a sweet memory, Thank you mom and dad for making that possible. These are wonderful memories and I am so thankful for them. I am thankful that they brought me up in a Christian Home.

The thing I want to teach my children like my parents taught me is to remember that we have a Risen Saviour, He is ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
We don't have to serve a god that has ears that cannot hear, a god with a mouth that cannot speak and a god with hands that cannot comfort.
We serve A God that will speak to us if we will listen to Him, A God that will hear if we will speak to Him, and a God that will comfort us if we will let Him. I am thankful that the World celebrates Easter and recognizes it as a time that Jesus arose from the dead, But us as Christians really need to be more about the Saviour than the Savour. (of the candy)
Let's take time to stop this weekend and be Thankful that God sent his only Begotten Son that we might have eternal life.

He is a Wonderful Saviour.

If you don't know for sure if you are going to spend eternity in Heaven, This is the Gospel. This is how you can know how to be saved.
God cannot Lie
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.You must have Faith.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
You must repent of your sins. Repentance is a change of heart about your sin and a desire to be different. Realizing your sin is offensive to God.
Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
