Five Good Reasons God Uses Problems

My friend sent this to me this morning, I felt it was so awesome that I had to share it. I have posted her website at the end of this post, Please go and visit her web page.
This was such an encouragment to me, I hope it will be the same for you.

Five Good Reasons God Uses Problems

The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you - depending on how you respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than considering what benefit they might bring. Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways."Proverbs 20:30

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags...if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God tested your faith with a problem What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience."James 1:2-3

3. God uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you pr obably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something... health, money, a relationship. .. by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws." Psalm 119:71-72

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you. A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his bosshad asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management's actions were eventually discovered."You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good...Genesis 50:20

5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort.Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity. "We can rejoice when we run into problems... they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady." Romans 5:3-4 Here's the point:God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him. "Success can be measured not only in achievements, but in lessons learned, lives touched and moments shared along the way"

God's Accuracy

I believe if this much detail attention has been put into the creation around us,
Shouldn't we believe that God can take care of us also? Consider the Lillies.

God's Accuracy
How lovely to think about the way our Creator God planned everything so carefully and perfectly, everything with a plan. As His highest creation, "we are fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14 God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs.
For example,
the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days.
Those of the canary in 14 days.
Those of the barnyard hen in 21 days.
The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days.
Those of the mallard in 35 days.
The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by Seven). God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other .Quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.
The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first.
A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation!
God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments,
as well as in the number of grains.
Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.
Each orange has an even number of segments.
Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.
Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas,
and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number
and the next row an odd number.
The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather.
All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks.
The Lord specified thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold - all even numbers.
God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed! Thus the Lord in His wonderful grace can arrange the life that is entrusted to His care in such a way that it will carry out His purposes and plans, and will be fragrant with His presence. Only the God-planned life is successful. Only the life given over to the care of the Lord is safe.

What shall I give Him? I give Him my heart.

This time of the year is so filled with the hustle of shopping,
visiting family, making cookies, I could go on and on.
We as Christians sometimes get so caught up in the
festivities that we forget to really stop and take in the
meaning of what this celebration is all about. My heart
was recently challenged when I was sent this paper
written by a young lady of the age of 17. I believe
that she found the true meaning to the Christmas holiday.
Will you take the time to read this and examine your own heart today?
What will you give your Saviour for Christmas?

"Happy Birthday, My Strength and My Redeemer"

Dear Lord,
Hello there Lord. Mrs.Burke has asked us to
write a paper on what we wanted to give to You
for Your birthday. Which here on earth we celebrate
on December the 25th. But I am sure You already
knew that. Now whether or not that is your real
birthday is beyond me. I guess I will have to find
that one out when I get to Heaven.
But to be honest with You Lord when Mrs.Burke
asked us what we wanted to give You my mind
went totally blank. Then I started to think. "What could
I possibly have that would be good enough for the
God who gave His life for me?" I thought "Lord I have
already given You my life. what else could I possibly
give?" Then I started to panic because I thought that
I was going to have absolutely nothing to give to You.
But then it clicked and then I thought "Oh silly me!
There is still so much more that I can give to my God."
Then Lord when I began to think of how much
I have in my life that I have not fully surrendered to You.
My heart began to break because I realized that I was not
doing everything that I possibly could in my power to
serve You and to live a better life for You, so Lord here are
the things that I am going to fully surrender to You
and give to You on Your birthday.
The first thing that I want to give to You is my mind.
You said in Your word in Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any
virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things.
" Lord I have not been thinking on these things.
I am constantly letting my mind wander and think
on things that people have done or said to me, and then
I end up jumping to conclusions and I end up in trouble
or hurt, and I am sick of it Lord. I just want my mind to
be concentrated on You God, so that I can have a better
relationship with You, so as of today Lord I give You my
mind. Please control it Lord because I cannot.
The second thing that I want to give You Lord is my mouth.
Psalm 141:3 "Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth:
keep the door of my lips." Lord please help me to watch
what comes out of my mouth. A lot of the time things that
I say don't bring honour and glory to Your name. God I
want everything that comes out of my mouth to please You.
Help me Lord to attain this goal. I give it to You.
The third thing that I want to give You is becoming a better
soul winner. God in Your word it tells of You being a soul winner.
You were so bold and confident when You led the Samaritan
woman to You in the book of John, it was just amazing!
Lord I want to do for more people what You did for that
Samaritan woman. When I speak to people about You I
want their eyes to be opened by the truths that I speak
to them about. Lord I give You my word on being a better
soul winner for You. But Lord please help me not to be
scared when I talk to people and help me to be more bold
and confident when I speak. Help me to be more like
You in this area of my life.
Now the fourth and final thing that I want to give You is my time.
Ephesians 5:16 "Redeeming the time because the days are evil.
" Lord please help me to redeem my time with You. Lord I know
that I have been asking for Your help in a lot of these gifts
that I am giving You. But I want them to be permanent.
I don't want to take these gifts away from You Lord.
I want them to be yours forever, so Lord help me to
spend more and more time with You each day,
because You deserve my time, You deserve so much more
than what I could ever be for You. But I know that You love
me God regardless of what I am because if You didn't love
me You wouldn't have given Your life for me.
Lord for Your birthday I give You my mind, speech,
soul winning heart, and my time. I hope that these gifts
bring You much joy my Lord. I wish that I could give You so much more.
But You are a God of grace and I am sure that You will forgive me for
falling short so many times. Happy Birthday Jesus! I love You so much.
Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Your Daughter,
Miranda Renae Anderson

May God Bless your holidays and may you decide
to give him your mind, speech, soulwinning heart
and your time. Can you imagine what we could do
for Christ this coming year if we all decided to have
this kinda of heart for our Saviour.

" I give you all that is mine in 2009"
